(SOLD!) Tantalum Model - Artificially Aged and Distressed Pine Top!

I'm thrilled to reveal my latest creation: a unique guitar that seamlessly blends traditional artistry with a touch of historical essence. The highlight of this guitar is its top, crafted from pine which I've meticulously distressed and aged to develop a distinctive grey patina. It's an artistic choice, inspired by the natural aging process that occurs over decades of UV exposure and weathering. This technique echoes the approach I took in my previous Iceman inspired project, where I used wood from a naturally aged 120-year-old pine door.

The body of the guitar is crafted from Sipo Mahogany, featuring probably the tightest grain I've ever had the pleasure to work with. Moreover, it's perfectly quartersawn. This instrument also features the world's first scalloped nut made from PEEK (polyetheretherketone), the result of 28 years of guitar building research. For those wondering, the scalloping is a purely aesthetic choice, introducing a captivating visual element to the instrument.

-Copper shielding and 25 coats of hand-applied oil-based varnish
